Larisa Thomas - President
“There are many people living in Queen Anne’s County in homes that are in poor condition and unsafe, but they lack the financial ability to fix them. I’m proud to work with Rebuilding Together in my home county and to make a difference in the lives of these families by assisting in the needed repairs of their homes.”
Larisa Thomas began working with Rebuilding Together of Queen Anne’s County in 2005, back when it was Christmas in April. She started out as a volunteer on project days, then became the organizer for her group. In 2016 Larisa took on further leadership responsibilities and became a Board member for Rebuilding Together of Queen Anne’s County. She has served as Secretary, Treasurer, and currently is the President. Mrs. Thomas heads the Centreville United Methodist Church Food Pantry, as well as their other Outreach Programs.
She Is on the YMCA of Queen Anne’s County Leadership Council as well as the Make A Difference Day Committee of Queen Anne’s County. She has participated with Appalachia Service Project mission trips 8 times. Mrs. Thomas received her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in 1991 from the University of Delaware. She moved to Queen Anne’s County in 1999. After working for Nationwide Insurance, she now dedicates her time to her outreach work.
